This weekend, Oyetola and Adeleke vote, Davido’s uncle and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, is anticipated to face opposition from as many as 50 lawyers, including top advocates.
The governor’s attorney, Kunle Adegoke, revealed this in an interview with The Punch on Tuesday.
He said they were still looking into the results that INEC had announced.
Oyetola further said
"The legal staff is actually functioning while we continue to evaluate materials. Because there will be so many documents in a vote of this kind, it is crucial that we examine them critically before choosing, and that is exactly what we are doing now.
The group’s leader is Dr. Biodun Layonu (SAN). There are still many others who will join the legal team, therefore it is not yet full.
The two attorneys we can publicly identify at this time are Dr. Biodum Layonu and Kunle Adegoke. We may not know the others who might arrive, but as soon as we are prepared to move, we will alert the media.
Since so many attorneys are interested in joining the team, the membership cannot be defined. Election petitions are unique cases, as you are aware. Therefore, we invite as many interested lawyers as possible. There could be 50 or more people here.

2023 Election: Funke Akindele Puts Acting On Hold Picks As PDP Deputy Governorship Nomination
Funke Akindele Puts Acting On Hold Picks As PDP Deputy Governorship Nomination
Nigerian Nollywood actress Funke Akindele, often known as Jenifa, has officially accepted the Peoples Democratic Party’s candidacy for deputy gubernatorial candidate.
Akindele revealed in a video she shared on Tuesday on her Instagram page that she would be postponing her acting career and entering politics instead in order to bring about change and better the lives of Lagosians.
To improve Lagos, she urged young people to support her and Dr. Olajide Adediran, a candidate for governor.
“I am a Lagosian born in Ikorodu, therefore when the PDP gubernatorial candidate invited me to serve as his deputy governor, I saw it as an opportunity to further the welfare of our people, especially the underprivileged girls, women, and young people.
“My choice isn’t just to take on this enormous duty; it’s also to ensure that our beloved Lagos realizes its full potential, with the people as its primary beneficiaries.
“Over the years, many young people have been marginalized and victimized for daring to pursue their dreams. I would want to take this occasion to condemn all well-meaning citizens of the country, especially the young people. It is absolutely time to unite and support one another and to make the most of our combined numbers.
I am well aware of the extra cost that this duty will take on my acting career, which I must now comparably put on hold. However, I have made the decision that no sacrifice is too great for the accomplishment of the urgent task to save our people and beloved state.
“I answer the summons with the utmost respect and feeling of duty. Yes, we can create a Lagos that is home to all of our citizens.
