Oyo State government orders the closure of Shasha market in Ibadan the capital city of Oyo State.
The spoke person of Engr. Seyi Makinde made this known, this happens over the insecurity and other life threaten activities going on in the area.

In his official statement by Taiwo Adisa, the media aide to governor Makinde said :
“His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde has directed the immediate closure of Shasha market indefinitely following reports of a breach of peace in the area,”
“The governor has also approved the imposition of a curfew on Shasha. It will run from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m.
“Residents of the affected area are however enjoined to go on about their legitimate businesses in line with stated hours by the law.
At Eleyele market, the trader told Blend that she could not buy goods owing to the crisis.
this was due to what happened yesterday at Shasha market. I didn’t find goods to buy. These ones here are from the day before yesterday and they will soon finish. After disposing of these, there is nothing left for me,” the trader said.
