Grace Bent Advises Obi And Atiku To Avoid Going To Court

After the presidential election of 2023 that led to the Tinubu’s victory in poll , grace bent advises Obi and Atiku to avoid going to court .Atiku Abubakar, the PDP’s presidential candidate, and Peter Obi, the LP’s candidate, have been urged by Senator Grace Bent to accept their defeats in the February 25 presidential election in good faith and refrain from wasting their time by filing lawsuits.

Menawhile it was this week that Tinubu declares the winner of 2023 presidential election and receives a certificate of return from INEC

This was said in a statement made on Saturday in Yola by Bent, the Adamawa South representative in the National Assembly.She congratulated Senator Bola Tinubu, the winner of the election, and Senator Kashim Shettima, his running mate, on their well-earned victory.
The widely regarded most credible election, according to Bent, will merely be held up as a needless distraction from the leadership development process.

“There is no need to squander your time and resources; the results of the presidential election were a true reflection of Nigerians’ honest votes.

Going to court would be a pointless exercise that would have no beneficial effects on the democratic and judicial institutions.

I think the ticket will bring us together more than the selfish viewpoints of many who choose to approach it from a religious perspective, hence I support the pair style of leadership.

According to the report from Blend Ng News Reporter, Atiku and Obi vowed on Thursday to contest Tinubu’s victory in the presidential election.

In opposition to INEC’s announcement, Obi claimed he had won the presidential election and would use all legal and peaceful measures to establish this.

Tinubu will likely take the oath of office as president of Nigeria in May.
Since then, INEC has given him his Certificate of Return.

Gov Seyi Makinde Am Not Afraid Of Losing 2023 Election

The seating Governor of Oyo State has been declared the winner of March 18, governorship poll in Oyo state by Independence National Electoral Commission as a candidate with larger votes margin to beat his closest rival Teslim Folarin of APC .

Mr. Seyi Makinde Re-elects with large votes margin to beat Teslim Folarin according to the returning officer for Oyo governorship election 2023 in the state ,Prof . Olusola Kehinde, said :

“That Makinde Oluseyi having satisfied the requirement of the law is declared winner of the poll,”

Oyo State Speaker Debi Ogundoyin wins Ibarapa East Constituency again

Makinde polled 563,756 votes to beat his close rival Teslim Folarin of All Progressive Congress who scored 256,685 votes, while Adebayo Adelabu of Accord Party scored 38,357 votes.

Makinde won 31 out of the 33 local government areas in the state, while Folarin came second by winning two local governments of Irepo and Ore-lope.

Makinde, who was seeking re-election, on Saturday, contested against Folarin, a three-term Senator, and Adebayo Adelabu of Accord Party, who was former deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria.

Lagos Election : Desmond Elliot wins surulere constituency election seat again

The national electoral commission (INEC) has announce renowned Nollywood film producer cum politician Desmond Elliott as the winner of Surulere state constituency election in 18 March ,2023 election .

The declaration was given on Sunday by Dr. O.J. Fenuga, the INEC returning officer.

He said that Adebayo Bode of the Labour Party, LP, who received 7,822 votes, came in second to Desmond Elliott of the All Progressives Congress, APC, who received 17,837 votes.

Fenuga reported that Thompson Sulaimon Abolaji, the PDP’s candidate, received 1,045 votes.

Festus Keyamo, a representative for the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council, had previously congratulated Desmond Elliot on his victory.

Police Begins Investigation Over Mc Oluomo Threat To Igbo Voters

Idowu Owohunwa, the commissioner of police for Lagos State, announced on Friday that an investigation had been opened into the alleged threat made by Musiliu Akinsanya, also known as MC Oluomo, the chairman of the Lagos State Parks Management Committee, against Igbo.

In an interview with TV Arise News regarding the Saturday governorship and state assembly elections preview, Owohunwa made this statement.

In a popular video, MC Oluomo urged Igbo residents of Lagos not to bother voting if they didn’t support the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).

It will be recalled that the head of PM (Motor Parks manager) of lagos State Mr. Musilu Akinsanya has come out to urge lagos Igbo residents to not bother to come out to vote on the Sat 2023 governorship election MC,Oluomo threatens Igbo voters to stay home during the upcoming tomorrow election.

The charmain of motor parks management in Lagos State said:

"Please tell them, we have begged them. If they don’t vote for us, it is not a fight. Tell them that Chukwudi’s mother, if you don’t vote for us, sit down at home. Do you understand? Sit down at home.” 

In a swift response to the threat today, Lagos CP said,

“We condemn in the strongest possible terms any act, statement, or an action that could be interpreted as hate speech or that could be interpreted as deepening political tension regardless of the brain that might be behind it. With regards to this specific video you mentioned, it is currently a subject of a detailed investigation".

Mr Owohunwa further stresses that “those brewing violence in the state should desist or face the full wrath of the law, adding that the law enforcement agents will not spare any lawbreaker”.

He continues

"Naturally, we are using our access to cyber security to address that. Also, I can guarantee that no one is above the law. This nation has regulations. It is still the job and mandate of the Nigeria Police to look into anyone who attempts to incite hatred or create political tension, both of which have the potential to escalate into violent acts". 

Nigerians are heading to cast their votes tomorrow for governorship and house assembly election 2023 for the candidates of their choice among the different political parties .
