Mr. Bola Ahmed popularly called Jagaban has won the APC presidential primaries election for the year 2023 with a margin of over 1,000 votes to defeat his running mate who is serving the seat of vice president of Nigeria Prof. Yemi Osinbajo
Asiwaju Bola Tinubu vied with 13 other aspirants – Mr. Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, Pastor Tunde Bakare, Mr. Ahmed Rufai, Senator Rochas Okorocha, Mr. Jack Rich, Governor Ben Ayade, Governor David Umahi, Senator Ahmed Yarima, Dr. Ahmed Lawan, Osinbajo, Amaechi, Governor Yahaya Bello, and Mr. Ogbonnaya Onu.
At the APC primaries held in Abuja at Eagles Square, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo scored a total number of 235 votes while Rotimi Amaechi pulled a poll of 315 votes
Meanwhile, a total of 9 aspirants have stepped down for Bola Ahmed Tinubu to give him support among them are Akpabio, Amosun, Fayemi, Bankole, Boroffice, and Badaru

Mr Bola Tinubu will face the 75-year-olds PDP presidential flagbearer Alh. Atiku Abubakar coming in the 2023 general election that will be held in Feb next year.
