Nigerian Minister of information and culture Mr. Lai Muhammed has asked Nigerians to stop using VPN Because It’s Expose Their Banks Details.
While addressing the stakeholders at the meeting the minister of information Mr Lai Muhammed said Nigerians who using VPN to access Twitter are doing themselves arms than worst because there are many dangers associating with it .He said using VPN can expose their bank account details to the internet and through this they can be hacked .
Mr Lai also said :
“Look if you think you hurting Lai by using VPN ,you don’t know you are hurting yourself because it can expose your bank account details”
It will be recalled that Nigerian government has banned the use of Twitter application in Nigerian after the tweet made by President Buhari was deleted saying it went against their policy .
However Twitter owner and Nigeria government are going on table talk to reopen Twitter but this statement might give a signal that it may not go as planned .
Mr Lai Muhammed said in a video during the press release which was covered by OakTv urged resourceful Nigerian creative thinkers to come up with an application (App) that can be used by Nigerians in replacement of Twitter .

But this statement however is a mere talks that cannot be possible because there is no element of true in it.
Some Nigerian has seen this statement by Lai Muhammed as a joke completely out of genuity.
Some Nigerians describe Lai Muhammed’s statement as hypocrite and never going to be real . Concerned Nigerians however call on federal government to reinstate the operation of popular Microbloging platform Twitter for Nigerians to be using it again as this will ensure their freedom of information speech as enshrined in the Nigeria 1999 constitution.
