Wizkid has lost the 2022 Grammy awards nomination category to veteran Beninese singer Angelique Kidjo in best global music category
Veteran singer, Angelique Kidjo, has won the Grammys for the “Best Global Music Album” with her Mother Nature album.
Wizkid Looses 2022 Grammy awards to Angelique Kidjo
Angelique Kidjo’s ‘Mother Nature,’ a song written by the Beninese singer and songwriter, won the Grammy Award for Best Global Music Album in 2022.
This is the fifth Grammy for the Beninese vocalist in her career. Wizkid, Femi Kuti, and Made Kuti were also nominated.
Angelique Kidjo, who has won the Grammy four times, said it is a major win for Africa during her address.
